This week, I finally finished my tote bag that I created using this tutorial from Hay Hay Crochet!! It took me a while, but I am so happy with the result. You can see my finished product below….

Ta da!! I am so happy with how the bag turned out, although it is a bit smaller than I though it would be. I think I will definitely try this pattern out again, and the nice thing is that I could try out so many different colour combinations! I love the gingham effect, and I think it is a great result for my first ever tote bag.
In class, we did some work with video editing, so I decided to try making a TikTok of my bag. I was inspired by my friend Kelsey, who has her own blog at TeacherKels. She made a great TikTok of her making some guacamole, and after I saw hers, I decided to try it for myself! You can watch my TikTok below:
It was so much fun to make this video, and it also gave me a greater appreciation for creators on TikTok. It must be so difficult figuring out the right setting, lighting, and editing for such a short video. I can definitely see myself making more TikToks for fun in the future!
While we’re on the subject of TikTok, I wanted to talk about my next project I am tackling. This project is a lot more fun, and should be a lot more simple for me to make. My friend Brigitte, who can be found at the blog Let’s Learn!, told me about a talented crocheter who crochets hats for her cat. After doing some much needed research, here’s a video I found:
The hats in this video are a bit more complicated than what I am capable of at this point, but my goal this week is to create a simple version of these hats that my cat Benji can wear! He won’t be happy about it, but I’m excited nonetheless.
Stay tuned for the reveal next week!
